Founder Digital Village

 

Prior to founding Digital Village, Evelyn Mora created Helsinki Fashion Week in 2014, she relaunched the event under sustainability principles and became the world’s first recognised and most sustainable fashion week. Under the leadership of Evelyn, Helsinki Fashion Week evolved into a multimillion-euro brand and was recognized and nominated in the British Fashion Awards and awarded as the event of the year by Peta in 2018 and the Epica Awards in the fashion category in 2020.

With her background in visual arts and fashion photography, she has been dedicated to creating a future focused on interdisciplinary sustainable innovation, technology, and design ever since graduating as a product developer and service designer.

Evelyn Mora designed and piloted the Eco Village concept in 2018. The proof of concept was recognized by The Independent UK in 2018 as “The most progressive event,” Forbes USA in 2019 as “By far the most provocative and promising platform,” and American VOGUE in 2018 as “A platform unlike any other.”

The purpose of the Digital Village is to become the welcoming ecosystem that allows everyone to create in Web3 and integrate their digital assets and lifestyles seamlessly and ethically into the Multiverse. The DV is a real-time Sustainability focused MMO Multiverse, connected to its Social Marketplace, which merges the physical and digital world through its social blockchain technology, the Village Protocol interface enabling real-time interactive, transparent, secure, and traceable utility for digital assets.

Digital Village’s mission is to redesign our social understanding and sustainable integration of Web3 in Art, Design, and Culture to improve our online spaces and their impact on our physical lifestyles.
